Junior Interior Designer

Part-time (~25 hours/week)  ·  Hybrid  ·  Based in San Diego  ·  Reports to Design Director

Jennifer Adams Design Group is looking for a Junior Interior Designer to join our studio, working directly alongside our Design Director on high-end residential projects in San Diego, Las Vegas, and Park City, with the potential to expand to additional markets.

This is a part-time, hybrid role for someone who is organized, detail-obsessed, and understands how to assist through the full arc of a design project — from mood boards to move-in. Must be based in San Diego.

What you’ll do

  • Build mood boards, presentations, and research based on our design direction
  • Source furniture, lighting, finishes, textiles, and architectural materials within established concepts
  • Prepare and maintain drawings, specifications, schedules, and project trackers
  • Coordinate day-to-day communication with vendors and fabricators, including pricing, samples, specifications, lead times, shop drawings, and follow-up
  • Support site visits, field measurements, construction meetings, and installations
  • Handle day-to-day procurement, including proposals, purchase orders, order tracking, deliveries, damages, and returns
  • Utilize AI and digital tools where appropriate for research, visualization, tracking, and workflow efficiency

What we’re looking for

  • A background or degree in interior design, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks independently and proactively follow up on outstanding items
  • Comfort with AI and emerging digital tools
  • A collaborative spirit and sharp eye for detail

  • Location: Hybrid — remote and on job site(s) in San Diego, Las Vegas, and Park City
  • Schedule: Part-time, approximately 25 hours/week
  • Reports to: Design Director
